Conventions

This is an image taken from the film Harry Brown.
We would like our youths to be dressed like this and when the man approaches them some grime music will start to play to show the manner of the gang.

This is an image taken from Silence of the Lambs.
When the man leaves the shop after doing his shopping we would like to track him till he arrives at the assault scene. This is one of the shots we will use when tracking him.

This is an image taken from the film Fighting.
Clearly not to this extent but we are going to trying to get a high shot of the man and the main thug surround by the rest of the gang a bit like this image here.

This is an image taken from The Fast and the Furious Tokyo Drift.
This is an over the shoulder shot. We will be using many of these but i think the most powerful one we will be using is in the last scene when the camera is doing an over the shoulder shot of the 40 year old mans shoulder whilst the camera is staring at the photos of the thugs on the wall.

Lighting

Our opening scene is going to be filmed in quite a dark light as you wont get that many groups of youths hanging about during the day drinking beer so we think it will make it much more realistic if we filmed it at late evening/night. But once our assault scene has taken place and it moves to the next scene which will be light so the camera can see all the photos of the youths clearly and see the credits come up. It shows the audience that the 40 year old man is going to get revenge.

Props

Shopping bag - It implies that the man is just a general man doing some shopping minding his own business.

Cigarettes and bottles of beer - Shows the audience that the youths are up to no good and breaking the law by drinking underage.

We might have a brick involved in our assault scene we haven't quite decided yet but if we do have one it will be there to give off the image that the youths are horrible people and the use of a weapon on the man will build up tension in our opening scene.

Photos - We will need many photos of each youth in different places and different shots of there faces as they will be pasted all over the 40 year olds man wall to show our audience that the man is going after them for revenge.

Costumes

The 40 year old man will be dressed reasonably smart to give the audience the impression that he is a slightly higher class business man.

The people around on the street will be dressed in average clothes to show the audience that it is set in just a normal village nothing really fancy but then again far from being a dump.

The youths will be dressed in trackies and hoddies to give everyone the idea that they aren't very nice people and they are slightly thugs ish.

Shot 13

- Circle the room.
- Zoom in on the pictures of the thugs.
- Credit comes up and the man builds up hatred for teenagers.
